Sheet Metal Fabrication

Laser-cut, formed, and welded sheet metal parts, from single prototypes to production batches.

MASA FabWorks produces precision sheet metal enclosures, brackets, panels, and structural components from a broad range of metals. Our process handles everything from laser cutting and bending through welding, hardware insertion, and surface finishing under one roof.

What We Offer

Sheet Metal Fabrication Capabilities

01
Laser-cut sheet-metal blank example part
Laser-cut aluminum panel with hexagonal cutouts

Laser Cutting

Fiber laser cutting of steel, aluminum, stainless, copper, and brass up to 1" thick. Produces clean, burr-free edges on flat profiles and produces nest-optimized blanks.

02
Press-brake-bent sheet-metal bracket
Press-brake-formed sheet-metal enclosure box

CNC Press Brake Bending

Programmable bending with backgauge control for repeatable angles and flange lengths. Supports complex multi-bend sequences and tight inside radii.

03
Welded sheet-metal assembly example part
Welded sheet-metal bracket with a fillet weld

MIG, TIG & Spot Welding

Full weld capability including MIG for structural joints, TIG for clean cosmetic seams, and spot welding for high-volume sheetmetal assemblies.

04
Sheet-metal panel with pressed-in threaded hardware
Sheet-metal chassis plate with threaded standoffs

Hardware Insertion & Assembly

PEM-standard threaded inserts, standoffs, studs, and captive fasteners installed by press or heat. Delivered as ready-to-assemble subassemblies.

How It's Made

Cut flat, formed, then joined

Flat blanks come off Amada, TRUMPF and LVD fiber lasers and CNC turret punches, then form on CNC press brakes before MIG, TIG or spot welding, hardware insertion and finishing. Material runs up to 25 mm (1 in) thick in more than 20 alloys, with bend tolerances of 0.25 mm (0.010 in). A single piece is a valid order, so a one-off bracket runs the same line as a production batch.

Finishes

Available Surface Finishes

Powder Coat

Electrostatically applied and oven-cured. Available in any RAL / Pantone. Excellent impact and UV resistance.

Zinc Plating

Electroplated zinc provides moderate corrosion protection. Clear, yellow, or black chromate available.

E-Coat (Electrocoat)

Immersion-applied primer coat ideal for complex assemblies with internal surfaces. Excellent corrosion base coat.

Alodine / Chem Film

MIL-DTL-5541 conversion coating for aluminum. Maintains conductivity while providing corrosion resistance.

Anodize (Aluminum)

Type II or Type III anodize for aluminum sheet components. Clear, black, or color dye.

Brushed Finish

Consistent linear grain applied by belt or orbital sander. Common for enclosures and panels requiring a refined appearance.

Passivation

Citric or nitric acid treatment for stainless steel components to maximize corrosion resistance.
